“So long, farewell and thanks for the memories.”

Well, it’s not so much the end, but…
the end of an era and the beginning of a new adventure.

A prolonged drought, followed by cold weather, some minor flooding, a closed minded local council and then Covid 19
all contributed to the demise of our beloved Adventure Watersports.

Don’t get me wrong.
Yes, I am a bit disappointed, but I am not saddened.
These events have forced Nicky (my precious wife) and myself to re-think our business model which leads us to believe we can offer a better experience all round for our clients.

The days of hooking up our kayak trailer and towing it down to Ollie Robbins Oval are over. No longer will we be setting up for customers to meander down to us to hire a kayak at the top of the boat ramp so they can spend an hour or so paddling up and down the Macquarie River.

“Does that mean we can’t hire kayaks anymore?”
Not at all.
It’s just how we hire out our kayaks have changed.
And not only kayaks, but all of the craft we have to offer. (More about the other craft in a tick.)

So we are now making our own new adventure.

Welcome to Adventure Craft Hire.

The world is changing and we have had to change with it. By changing the way we provide our craft for hire, we able to better manage the safety and wellbeing of our clients throughout the hiring and returning of craft. Not only that, but the change means that in the future we have the option to offer a greater range of craft.
At present we are able to offer single and double kayaks, stand up paddle boards and land yachts (Blokarts).

To make it easier for our clients to hire our adventure craft, we provide access to a really easy online booking page. On the page you can select what craft you want to use to make your own adventure, how many you want, when you want it and for how long. The hire times are in 3 hour blocks, but do contact us if you are looking for over night or longer periods of hire.

And unlike before when clients had to wait for us to be available down by the river, they can now come anytime that suits them to pick up their craft. After your booking has been finalised simply to come to our premises, collect your craft and return it when your finished. (By the way, if you need a trailer, we have one you can hire to head off on your own adventure).

But for today we have some fun filled and exhilarating choices of craft that give you the freedom to truely “make your own adventure”.
