Bad News and Good News!

After months of email exchanges, phone calls and finally a face to face meeting with Dubbo Regional Council “DRC”, the plug has been pulled on access to the Dubbo Cycling Facility criterium track for recreational sailing.

DRC are still in support of the facility to be used in the future should we be able to secure an international Blokart racing event.

HOWEVER…

We have been given the key to the carpark at Apex Oval opposite Harvey Norman and United Fuels on Cobra St.

This car park is an acceptable size for sailing and is in a very easy location.

We will be trialling the site between now and Christmas 2020 which we expect to include offering some free sailing for some of our locals as we test these facilities.

The facility will only be available for the off season for football, but that is when the winds are at there best.

The Dubbo Showground carpark is still available as a backup for our sailors.
